Kurita named to key government panel
Commission leads discussion on improving local, state, federal government
(Nashville, TN) - Speaker Pro Tempore Rosalind Kurita (D-Clarksville) was today appointed to the Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR) by Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey (R-Blountville). TACIR was created to research federal, state, and local government relations and make proposals for improvement to the Legislature.
"I am very happy to have the opportunity to join the preeminent think tank for improving government in Tennessee" said Sen. Kurita. "TACIR's mission is to solve problems in government with the input of private citizens and elected officials. I look forward to being a part of creative solutions that provide better service to all Tennessee residents."
